Snacks :D

Diet. They are, probably, the hardest endurance test ever made. These are some list of Snacks I eat :D

1. Tomato
Try to get the small ones. They are fruits (yes, they are.) and full of vitamin.

2. Banana
Banana Diet! NOTE: Only eat at most three a day. Past that... you're just kidding yourself.

3. Chocolate
Chocolate Diet! NOTE: Only eat 50g per day. Past that...again you're just kidding yourself.

4. Yogurt
I tend to eat Yogurt with Low fat. However I can't eat plain because it taste like.... vomit <- in my opinion. I eat ones with fruit (especially berries).

5. Fruits
Try to eat those less in sugar. So examples can be: Watermelon, Blueberries, Strawberries(10 max), Tangerines (QUICK FACT: Tangerines have a certain chemical that breaks down fat).

6. Sweet Potato
There Calories are high however they are not as fattening. High Cal doesn't necessary mean Fattening. (Steamed is great, you can eat them raw too).

Diet W-4

Week 4 of JeeNa's Diet!

TO all dieters who started around the same time with me, CONGRATULATION! :D
we have lasted  for a month now :D

Lost weight is 1kg so current weight is 58.5 <- I know right? whats up with the 0.5? Whats up with it is that, its getting harder and harder to lose the weight. Think of it this way. The Heavier you are, the faster you'll lose weight (maybe for the first 3kg) however when you reach that stage where you're water weight is gone, it will get harder. It took me around two weeks to lose 1kg this time. The solution? time to eat less and exercise more.

As a food lover (did I mention this before?) I can't starve -_-;; or skip certain food groups. I'm replacing them with healthier ops though :D.

Exercise: Up'd the jump to 5000. now jog rather than walk and work of stretching with more force.

Happy Dieting :D ~

Hong Kong: Love it or Hate it?

This is now my 10th year of living in Hong Kong, and I feel that I now know some pros and con's. For those who are planning on coming to Hong Kong, this might give you a general view and help you along the way for packing, sightseeing, etc.

Pros
1. Hygiene
Hong Kong is Hygienic in a way that Mall's or any official buildings have hand sanitizer. Just put your hand under it and the machine will give you a hand full of sanitizer.

2. Shopping

Even though a lot of clothing, makeup, etc. is from outside of Hong Kong, the cost for them are relatively cheaper than most "higher" countries. For this reason, Hong Kong's main attraction is Shopping. The brands ranges from "high class" ( YSL, Gucci, Chanel, Dior, etc), "middle class" (ZARA, Bershka, H&M), and to "Low Class" (Maple, In Fashion, etc.)

3. Transportation

In all my life the longest I've traveled in Hong Kong was Maybe 3 hours. Hong Kong has almost any transportation you can think of. Main Transportation consists of the MTR(subway), Bus (double decker/mini), and Taxi (there's always a taxi line somewhere around the corner).

4. English

Hong Kong is relatively "English-Friendly". All major sight-seeing area will speak English, including malls. If you do go to any Island or to the Kowloon/New Territories, keep in mind that talking will be less efficient. the farther you move from Hong Kong Island, you'll hear less English.

5.Trashcans
This might sound crazy but I am literally thankful for the number of Trashcans in Hong Kong. in one street you'll see at least ten trashcans, none of the overflowing.

6. Crime

The crime rate is low for Hong Kong, even though it is a city. Probably because Hong Kong is small...

7. Age requirement
The age requirement for Hong Kong is 18. So anyone who are over 18 can go to the party central LKF to enjoy music, dance, drinks, etc.

Con's
1. Hygiene
The reason why Hygiene is also a problem in Hong Kong is because of some states of public areas. Although Hong Kong is relatively clean some streets, bathrooms, etc. will be.. lets just say not so flattering. Hong Kong do suffer some major cockroach infestation, and recently Mice has also been reported. For those who are coming to Hong Kong try not to wear Open Toe Sandals when going to places near Kowloon.

2. Pollution

Although it wasn't a major problem before, but currently Hong Kong is suffering from Pollution. Each Year at least 1200 people die of air pollution here. It is actually the account for the transportation usage here, not to mention the use of air conditioning. So for those who have asthma, bring your kit.

3. Humidity

Hong Kong Summer gets up to 35 Celsius in extreme cases. But the major problem is the Humidity. The Humidity ranges from 70%~99% during summer. So my advice, don't bring or wear clothes that soaks up any kind of liquid... trust me it won't dry. Even if it did, you'll suffer from smelling like old gym socks.

Willo Smith vs. Justin Bieber

Willow Smith:
born October 31, 2000
"Whip My Hair" "21st Century Girl"

Justin Bieber:
born March 1, 1994
"Baby" "Somebody to Love" "Never Say Never"

The reason why I brought these two up is to explain why I dislike (I won't say "hate", I mean seriously. I would need to known him to hate him) Justin Bieber but like Willow Smith.

1. Song Styles. Willow Smith's song consists of elements "Fun" and "Dance". Thus, (as a major pop song freak) I love her songs. However Justin Bieber's songs are more for "Love" and "R&B". I do love R&B, however (if I say so myself) I love R&B in the highest level. Maybe the reason is because R&B is one of the major song genre in Korea. So constantly listening to R&B music on Korean drama, movie, tv show, etc. gave me the idea that R&B is not much a fun song to listen to.
2. Justin Bieber talks about Love when he is 16. I mean I was once 16 myself and truthfully saying, I didn't know what "LOVE" was. I still don't know actually, but you get my point.
3. Fans. Okay simply put, Justin Bieber's fans are NUTS. Period. consisting of age group from 5~... maybe 40? Not only is this creepy, seeing them scream and cry because of him kind of makes me sick in the stomach.

Those are my reasons. I'm not saying "RAWR WE SHOULD ALL HATE JUSTIN BIEBER!!" I'm just explaining why I won't scream my head off when I see him on TV.

Diet W-3

WEEK 3 of JeeNa's DIET!

OMG! ITS ALREADY WEEK 3! Usually when I'm on a diet (Yes, I've done this numerous times), it felt like FOREVER to do this even for a month. But Hey! Not anymore I'm not! :D *Que Evil Laughter*

Eating:
I'm Working on my getting on the banana and chocolate diet. Sounds good right? Let me explain.
Banana Diet consists of making the banana as your main diet. Currently the banana's in Hong Kong is cheap so that's a plus for me. You eat:

1~2 banana and a cup of coffee/water/tea in the morning.
Anything for lunch (Still you should try and eat healthy).
Fruit/Vegetables for dinner.

For snacks, bananas (maybe 1~3)

The Chocolate diet does not mean you eat chocolate for your food (can you imagine the fat?), what chocolate diet does is to relieve the stress. I mean its less stressful to think that you can at least eat something sweet once in awhile.
For ONE day you are only allowed 50g of

chocolate (if it goes over then there's no point). Try not to eat ones that are high on milk or cream (Which means no white or milk chocolate).

The safeties choice is eating Dark Chocolate with the cocoa % higher than 70.

Exercise:
Replaced Exercise with more stretching and muscle training. For those who just started out and researching for new stretching and muscle training, I'll tell you one that is easy to do. We all known how to do crunches, but be warned. Crunches do flatten abs HOWEVER it doesn't trim the waist. To trim the waist, do this:

1. lift up your upper body (as far as it goes when you do the crunches)

2. Move your waist side ways (For beginners, reach your arm out and touch your ankles)

3. repeat for 30 times

Other then muscle training, I've up'd the number of jump ropes to 4500. Plus Jog for 30 min rather than walk (At least run for 10 min).

I didn't actually lose any weight T_T sadly, my brother was on school trip for a week so my mom and I were going around SOHO in Hong Kong trying out different restaurants. But if I do must say, I lost about 0.5 kg :P

Happy Dieting Everybody :D~

P.S For those who are suffering from acne or just want a skin as smooth as a baby, wash your face Once a day (numerous face washing is actually bad for your skin). Use face cleanser, NOT ordinary soap (soap is used for skin however not very compatible with face). AND this is very important, Wash with COLD water. I don't know the facts to it, but its from personal Experience.
